Thanks for your reply on the PS. Got more questions about this champ cb-50s forklift and may be related. I've not used it yet, but I have the engine starting up, the mast hydraulics are working fine, but turning the steering wheel is not turning the rear wheels. Additionally, I pushed the clutch in, put it in forward on the reverser, and tried a couple of the gears, letting out the clutch...nothing, not even a drop in engine speed. Wondering if there is some master stop/disconnect switch for the drive train like a safety feature? I see the flip over and roll brake near the steering wheel, but that doesn't seem to be doing anything as I work it back forth. Also, I noticed the brake pedal goes straight to the floor. When I first bought this, seems like there was back pressure on the brake pedal, and it would lock the brakes. Now seems like absolutely nothing, like maybe it's been disconnected. Which has me wondering about safety locks, etc.

But, on the other hand, there is a secret language that our mechanical companions readily do speak. It is an interesting form of communication that involves all the senses of the listener. In this series we are going to investigate and learn the basic rudimentary skills of understanding this lingo.
