I can't answer your question, but I would be very careful in proceeding with the stroking plans on your John Deere. I have worked with modified engines a little bit, and all the right parts might not be availabe for your engine. If you stroke the crank, you will need pistons with a shorter deck height or shorter rods. Make sure you can get these parts before you proceed too far. Maybe there is someone out there that has experience with modified tractor engines, that can give you some first hand advise.
