I am new to the tractor world and recently bought a 52 Ferguson TO 30. I had to replace the starter and had to move the distributor to get it out and back in. I'm pretty sure I screwed up the timing doing that (it wouldn't start back up).
I've read some articles on here and now have the 6 degrees mark on the flywheel lined up with hash marks on the inspection port under the starter. The distributor rotor is also pointing at cylinder one fire post. I tried to feel compression out of cylinder one but it took two hands to turn crank and couldn't get my hand up there.
My question is - it seems like I'm lined up correctly but could I be like 180 degree out on the exhaust stroke of the timing or am I ok with these tasks/indicators in place.
