I worked at GUIDE 1962 to 1999 in tool room. At the time GUIDE made all GM tail and head lights.They made tractor lights also. The plant covered over 50 acres.Guide was the only GM plant that had ever thing.It had a enginnering department,design department, tool room,machine building department.Guide made die cast parts,plastic part,and sheet metal sampings. FYI The 1965 chevy was the most sold car in one year. Sold over 10,040,000 and GUIDE made all the head lights and tail lights and all the other GM light at the same time. Sadly though about 5 years after I retired they close the plant and took all the building down. GUIDE LAMP is now GUIDE LOT.
