Been a while since I saw heads advertised for conventional Gleaners. Seems to me that I remember heads advertised as having F/K mounts. I know you would see heads advertised with L/M mounts. We did have a F and then a M and M2. When we got the first M we wound up putting a JD head with a adapter we bought used from a guy who had a L. Only difference was I had to move the hooks in so the M could hook up. After that I started looking at gleaner heads and saw that there was separate slots and mounts for L and M combines. Check and see if that is the case with the F/K, might just be you need to move the hooks and thats it.
On a side note if this deal falls through seriously consider a Bish type adapter plate and using a IH or JD head. We ran orange heads with the F and got a A series head with the first M. Getting it ready to go to the field I realized they were kinda a POS, built way to light in my opinion. Ran that head over 80 acres till I had a wet spell to buy a JD head and get it mounted. That was over 20 years ago and I am still running that JD head, it is on its third combine (IH 1660 now).

Today's Featured Article - 12-Volt Conversions for 4-Cylinder Ford 2000 & 4000 Tractors - by Tommy Duvall. After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion. After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet). I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
