Our 01 Silverado is rusting out and has 195k miles, wife was wanting something a little nicer looking and body shops wanted $8-10k to fix and paint the old Chevy. After a good bit of searching used and new we found a 2018 F-150 STX least return with 15k miles at a good price, STX package is based off of the plain XL model, good looking truck with power windows, locks and mirrors, nice radio but manual cloth bucket seats and no other fancy interior options.
After comparing all other brands the F-150 STX had more bang for the buck than any other truck, unfortunately STX package is not available on reg cab or long bed.
Kept the Silverado for a daily use vehicle.
For work truck My 2004 F-450 will probably be my last, with 128k miles on the body and 20k miles on the fresh rebuilt 5.9 Cummins swap and a manual trans, there's nothing out there that's as reliable and simple to maintain as this truck, no reason or desire to ever replace it.

The year was about 1967 and my father found a good used Ford 601 tractor to use on the farm instead of "Bob", our old mule. Now my grandfather had had this mule since the mid 40's and he was getting some age on him. S
