hey folks,i am needing some advice.i have finally found a service truck for cheap ($500),with 180k miles diesel,5 speed,BUT there is a problem, the title and registration is lost.the owner wasn't aware of this, and called me as soon as she found out.i called the dmv and they told me with no title or registration,i could not get a duplicate title even if the owner got it for me because it has not been on the road in the past 5 years,so it has been wiped from the system and the only possible way to get a title is to get it legally inspected by a certified mechanic and THEN go to the city, and apply for a registration so I can apply for a title.the question is do you think it is worth all this mallarky?the way I look at it is,i am really after the service body, and the truck is a plus,so if I have to,i can swap beds with the truck I have and the then use the rest as parts if she can't find the title,or I can't get one.what would you?thanks
