When you buy a new KUBOTA one thing I always did was sit down and go over that exclusion page. Clutch, fan belt, injectors ect are called wear items and as such are not covered. Now if you bought one and three weeks latter the fan belt broke, I just put a new one on and ate the cost. Where it really got sticky was a thousand dollar clutch and pressure plate. A few times KUBOTA would cover one under what is called good will policy but most times customer was unhappy when I told them hey you wore out the clutch by riding the foot pedal. Warranties are a now win situation for a dealer in most instances. So many things come up that can be corrected in little time but takes longer to file the warranty claim than what payment the dealer gets. The real kisser is buy shows up with a unit failed say 2 weeks out of warranty . If you give in and lie and go on and cover it what about his brother that show up next week with one 3 weeks out. Hard to draw the line. Kubota has a figure , they know if you sold a million dollars worth of new last year what your warranty claims should be the next year. National averages , I always tried to stay in the middle of that figure. Lots of dealers get in trouble for filling false warranty claims.
