I have the same model mixer, my Dad bought it in about 1948. The original engine was an IH hit and miss. You poured water in it and added as it evaporated to cool the engine. Someone helped themselves to the engine so it was used with a flat belt on the 9N, Also used with various electric motors and gasoline engines. One time we were pouring a garage floor for a friend . We used (2) 3 hp B&S engines, one wasn't powerful enough I last used it with a 6.5 Predator engine. Engine is on the shelf in the garage awaiting the next project........

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
