Ohhhw, the older style horse with the nursery bars. Those Kohler engines have a bad habit of blowing parts violently if you get my drift. I keep my engine about a 1/2" or a little more above the full line. When you are really digging deeply all of the oil runs way to the back of the engine and there is no splash! See you also have the little PTO disengage leaver for the tillers. Nice thing to have. When you're garden bed is loaded with enough Bio mass that machine will till up a storm. If you want to try the Ruth Stout hay bale method give this a watch. Also plenty more on Utube. Let this hay rot down and till it into the soil. Then do the bales again. You will end up with super soil. Another thing to do is add Mushroom Soil. You can buy it at better garden centers. It will give your garden a couple of years head start on bio mass.
