I have had partials done on both. I have no joint limitation on kneeling or any type of movement. The main limitation is the supporting muscles. Due to the pain you have been limiting use so some of the muscles are weakened. You need to get them built up by exercising. I went on a four day snowmobile ride 6 weeks after the first one was done. I had a hip done on Jan 9 this year and was fully recovered by Feb 15th. It would have been even shorter but it was held up two weeks due to my death 9 days post surgery.
