I would call a reputable (high volume) locksmith, with your title or proof of ownership and they can probably get the key code by vin. As you found out, Ford only keeps the last 10 years, that doesn't mean the information might be gone forever.
When new, your truck would have come with 2 little white tags on key rings, the tag has a bar code and some digits that decipher the key code. Those tags were were either left in the glove box, owners manual/packet or simply left on the key ring when new, so you might check if you can find it. The tag is white, thin plastic and about 1in x 1in in size. A locksmith along with Ford should be able to cut a key using the tag.
