My wife sent a large box of textbooks and other books by media mail in January. Entire box has disappeared. Post office has no explanation, other than the last it was seen was several hundred miles south of us -- the opposite direction from where it should have been headed. She has filled out the form but has no hope of ever seeing the books again. What worries me is how much of my own mail maybe goes to the wrong box and gets tossed by the faulty recipient rather than getting put back into the box.
