Farmall Super H Help Needed

My grandfather recently gave me my first (Im 20yrs) tractor. A Super H nicely restored and in great working condition (we dug a ditch yesterday!). I have a few questions about this tractor that I hope someone can help me with. First off where is the main serial number which tells year of mfg. and how do I read number? Second - the SH's #s are all supposed to match on my tractor, what does match mean (is it all original outside of paint and decals?). Third I'm missing the front IH emblem off hood - anyone have an original for sale? That brings up fourth - What are the two round cutouts in the hood, one on each side of center near top edges, used for? And lastly, I have lights on the tractor but no wires - how could I get my tractor to 'light up' ? ***Any and all help is very appreciated.
