I am dealing with the same problem on a Explorer. I can loosen the actuator motor and slide it out and separate the motor from the cable with the window up. they are available but make sure you get the right one. The co. shipped the wrong one to me under the correct description. The motor released and now moves up and down. I put everything back together and it likely will temporarily work until the window gets powered up and it stalls. Might have a dead spot in the motor. Had to park it until I can get an alignment done. Tires are not cheap when you have to replace all 4 at the same time.
