Hi Nik, I was a maintenance crew leader when I got there we just had UH1B's then about amy / June 65 we started getting D models we had lots of fun with the D's at first but finally got a lot of the bugs worked out the good old "B" models were great helicopters. I had a really great Maintenance officer Mr Patton we worked together great I was really sad to read he passed a number of years ago. I don't know if it was still there when you were there but there was a hutch right next to the control tower that's where I spent most of my year.
