I replaced the synchronizers on my 6030 last fall. When I got done with it, it still jumped out of 5th gear. I pulled the top cover and watched it shift. I immediately noticed that the shifting fork was going into gear (detent pin dropped in place) and then coming out of gear with the motion of the quadrant. The linkage and shifting quadrant needed to be rebuilt. After I rebuilt the linkage and quadrant and I watched it shift the fork and it went into position every time correctly.
