Thanks for all the ideas, and especially all the concerns about our loved four legged friends.
I got a few emails on ideas. First, was the idea of using a plastic barrel cut out on an axle as a trailet... you have probably seen them as kiddie trains. The dog would have a harness clipped to the unit.
The second great idea was to make a stagecoach, so that the dog, kids, older kids, and very old kids can ride safely. Plus put a toolbox on the back and you can use it to do stuff around the yard.
See I live on 6 acres. We used to be a poultry farm from 1933 til the late 80s and in the 70s and 80s produced farm the land across the street (borrowed). The farm has never had a mortgage on it in its history. I got started in old iron when I was in 8th grade and wanted to restore the old farmall that was used to dig the basement of the farmhouse, a F12. Like potato chips, you just can't stop with one.
I wish I had tractors large enough for a cab. The largest tractor (and the youngest) is a ford 1801 backhoe. And when that comes out, every creature is put away for safety.

Today's Featured Article - 12-Volt Conversions for 4-Cylinder Ford 2000 & 4000 Tractors - by Tommy Duvall. After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion. After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet). I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
