Be easy on me maple syrup harvesters...I know nothing about it. Long story, short: Was shopping at the evil discount store about a week ago and I was in the section that had pancake syrup. I'd never had any maple syrup before, so I looked at the brands of maple syrup. There must have been 5-6 different brands of the real stuff, but decided on the house brand. (I know I'm going to get hit with all kinds of complaints there, but educate me) Anyway, I always make pancakes on Saturday morning and the wife and kids said the syrup was good stuff. They were comparing it to the Aunt Jemima or equivalent sugar water. A couple of questions now. Was it a good year for syrup, or are you still harvesting? What mistake did I commit by buying the house brand instead of a little bitty metal container of the stuff that costs well over $10? What's the best brand of tractor to use to harvest syrup? ;-) Thanks for the lesson.
