There is a difference between home schooling and distance education. Our school district is doing distance education. Teachers are still teaching, just over a computer screen. Three weeks in and it is starting to go smoother. Kind of a challenge to keep the kids on track with schooling when both parents still have to work. Thankfully ours are semi independent and able to look after themselves. Right now, I can spend some time with them as my job is normally slow this time of year. But for the last couple weeks of the school year, I will be gone. Once wheat harvest gets ready to kick off, I get an all expenses paid trip to Texas whether I want to go or not.
One of my son’s classmates is playing mini mom to her younger siblings as her parents are at work all day. Severely cuts into her ability to keep up with school.

Today's Featured Article - Oil Bath Air Filters - by Chris Pratt. Some of us grew up thinking that an air filter was a paper thing that allowed air to pass while trapping dirt particles of a particles of a certain size. What a surprise to open up your first old tractor's air filter case and find a can that appears to be filled with the scrap metal swept from around a machine shop metal lathe. To top that off, you have a cup with oil in it ("why would you want to lubricate your carburetor?"). On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
