Butler, like Mark I don't know the answer but given how many G's I've seen at tractor pulls I'll be folks are doing it. For one thing, I thought I'd never hear a G turn as fast as some of them were in those pulls. There are some really hot rod G's out there. Finding the folks that do it to them is the trick. In general though, stroking may or may not require different other parts, depending on how much it is stroked. An engine can be stroked to some degree without changing anything else if you've got room on top (in front on the John Deere) for the valves to open etc., in which case stroking will simply raise the compression. In other cases stroking may cause the pistons to hit, especially if you change the opening of the valves too. It is a very disheartening sound when you crank one up and it sounds like everything in it wants out. Check around though, for those G's are something when the right folks have been hold of them. Have a good day sir. John
