I find that it takes people that are unique in that they exhibit high appreciation for the privilege of having access to a landowners property for the purpose of hunting. Maybe they'll give you a hand with some work or maintenance, or just keep a good watchful eye out, dispersing any would be or actual trespassers etc. They are about as rare as someone you would trust to borrow something like a piece of equipment, returning back in the same or better condition. I rarely borrowed anything but my friend has trash pumps not used in the winter, I used one for making an ice rink, return it every spring, oil changed, clean, hoses neatly rolled up, ready to go onto his truck and work.
Personally, I'm fortunate to have this place, and a few good friends that hunt intermittently, though I prefer to keep all out, the benefit is, they report things I would not see as soon or at all. There's plenty of deer, + lots of other game. I counted over 50 some odd whitetail, know there's 2 dozen more over the ridge, it provides for all that are worthy of being of upstanding character, being a polite and considerate hunter. Adjoining landowners are all on the same page and in this regard, we do not have much if any trespassing during the seasons.
