Steve, I've used one since the mid 70's on a John Deere 1050, an approximately 33 horsepower tractor. Mine is an Onan 35KW, and it requires just about 33 horsepower at full capacity, but I don't need that much. Mine came with a gearbox to spin it on up with the 540 PTO I have. I've never had any trouble with it, Onan is good stuff. I made a three point hitch frame to bolt mine on. It has a box on the side for hard wiring but also comes with some regular and 220 plugs on it, plus a meter and fuse. I bought mine from an electrical supply house and it was around $1,500 back then, but looking at prices here lately I suspect it's much higher now. Don't skimp on the size though and you'll not regret it. I try to figure that I only have to buy something once, but I may use it every day. Have a good day sir. John
