Had a new master cylinder installed on my tw20. Once that was done, the brake pedal was crisp. barley touch it and you were stopped. That was great, until I drove it to my other farm,8 miles away when I slowed down to turn off the blacktop onto the gravel, the right wheel locked up. I backed up and took off in a lower gear and all was fine. Didn't know what caused it. Used it a couple of days. Then when I went to drive it back to the main farm, about a half mile out, I noticed that I hadn't raised my lift arms from the prior attachment. Raised them and both brakes locked up. Put it in a lower gear got it off the road. The brake pedals were stiff as a rock, couldn't budge them. Came back an hour later, brakes were fine and drove it the rest of the way back. Now you have to push the pedals down about a third to get them to grab. Any ideas of what's wrong now? Thanks for your opinions.

After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion. After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet). I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
