Grandpa Any sickle mower I’ve ever seen or used (I cut about 1000 round bales a year) and never operated a disk mower until last year) has adjustable skid shies or plates. The shoes fit in a nothing on front and have a bolt on the back. With a block under the bar, one on each each end remove the bolt from the back and adjust it up or down. Your outside shoe is probably up against the bar and the inside shoe has a space between it and the bottom of the bar. Any mower,3 point trailer type or simi mount, should skid along the ground like a sled. That’s your height adjustment. Good luck and wish could express my self more simply. Look the skid shoes over good and it won’t be that hard to figure out. Look to see that the outside one is even there. Andy
