I have owned this Case 2090 for over 25 years. Well under 3000 hours. I put a new cab kit in it mid winter. Drove it to town for a good cab washing at the car wash after the old interior was taken out. Tractor shifted perfectly to and from town and all fall as well. It pretty much sat in the machine shed all winter with no use. I did start it a time or two. Went to take it out of the machine shed the week before last and it will not move in power shift #1. You can bump it to power shift #2 after the clutch is let out and it move just fine. When you push the clutch in it will "grunt" as normal. I noticed that when the clutch is engaged the 3 point hitch will not lift. When you push the clutch in the 3 point will come up. I don't think reverse works properly either. Is there something simple I am missing here, or does the tractor probably need to be split. My mechanic says that some bolts have probably come loose causing a clutch pack to not pressurize. He also said I might have some cracked tubes that feed pressurized hydraulic oil inside to the clutch pack. Mentioned I might have a blown gasket under the valve assembly, but that is rare. I did change the hydraulic filters and check/add some oil. Anyone have this type of experience? I did post on the J.I. Case forum without any replies, so I will post here. Thanks for any help.

Today's Featured Article - Grain Threshing in the Early 40's - by Jerry D. Coleman. How many of you can sit there and say that you have plowed with a mule? Well I would say not many, but maybe a few. This story is about the day my Grandfather Brown (true name) decided along with my parents to purchase a new Ford tractor. It wasn't really new except to us. The year was about 1967 and my father found a good used Ford 601 tractor to use on the farm instead of "Bob", our old mule. Now my grandfather had had this mule since the mid 40's and he was getting some age on him. S
