Bubba and I will be finishing my subpanel to pole barn tomorrow. Bubba is the inspector that can't get his head around why the wire with a white strip and green wire connects to the place in main that white wires are connected on one side and bare wires on the other side and both are connected to a large bare wire going to a 10 ft copper clad metal rod driven in the ground. So I told him the white wire is called common and the bare wires in main is called ground. Bubba insists that's just plain nuts. After a long discussion, similar to the long winded discussion that spawn from mentioning the 2 what should be forbidden words on YT, common and ground. I asked Bubba what are we standing on? A light went off, he said Common Ground, now that makes since. LOL George
