I missed out on that thread, but having ran RV's for years along with using later model 4 wire trucks to pull the older 3 wire trailers etc I HAVE USED 3 TO 4 AND 4 TO 3 SOLID STATE BLACK BOX ADAPTERS AND THEY ALL WORKED.... Get this I have used my 3 wire RV to tow a 4 wire car and on the back of it I towed a 3 wire golf cart trailer AND THEY ALL WORKED..
From 3 wire RV to the 4 wire Pontiac I used a 3 to 4 adapter and then out the back of the Pontiac I used a 4 to 3. YOU HAVE TO GET THE RIGHT ADAPTER DIRECTION like FROM my RV 3 TO THE 4 wire Pontiac and on back of it a 4 to 3 for the trailer...
THEY WONT WORK IN REVERSE On my triple tow in the picture I of course had to use BOTH 3 to 4 then 4 to 3
One things I learned THE GROUNDS HAVE TO BE PERFECT+++++++++++++
I don't know what else to tell you other then you need EXCELLENT GROUNDS RV to car and Car to trailer and they don't work in reverse.
Soooooooo what exactly was your question and what is it thats not working ????
