Around here, I have seen corn survive 18 degrees until the time it gets about 10 inches tall. Depends how cold the soil is and how deep it froze. Clemson had silage corn froze at about 10 inches tall one year and turned yellow as a JD wheel. It came back and did fine. Richard in NW SC
