I have a model 86 with 8 hp and it more than enough power, I don't think you will find at 7 it lacks power. Garden tractors got into a hp race to try and sell to folks who had no idea that you didn't need 12 or 15 or more hp in a small light tractor. You have found a nice "original", take care of it but use and enjoy it. You might check/change the transmission oil and learn where you can grease it.
