I caught many panfish with cane pole and worms,crickets,grasshopers,and crawdad tails. We lived on the banks of the Tippicanoe river, always had several cane poles rigged and ready. Had a live box next to the pier so could hold fish until had enough to clean. Mom would cook fish outside on colemann stove so as not to "stink" up the house. Wish I could taste one of her fried sunfish with home made tarter. Memories, joe
