Think I’d go for the parts machine. I didn’t run into the situation with the grooves for the snap ring being worn away. Probably because I was always underneath the darn thing squirting grease into it and could see the rollers wearing away, and swapped them out before they failed. You now understand why I was emphasizing paying close attention to these rollers. I paid through the nose for the replacement roller balls I bought from NH back in the nineties, you certainly have found a good price on these parts. If you go for the parts machine, I bet you can make one very good working rake from the two, and that’s the way I would go myself.
