Reading John B's post about 460 and 560 rear end troubles the other day reminded me of my neighbors run at the big tractor pull at Tomah, Wisc. back in the 90's. He took some teeth off of the one of the gears and the chunks got between the case and the gears and broke the case which in turn split the tractor in two pieces. Some people say the bull gear and heifer sprocket didn't mesh. He took a heck of a ride--kissed the hood and ended up on the ground. Turbo, Alcohol and stock gears don't mix! After that they put ladder bars on the side of all tractors which held them together--called them "Lundry Bars" after my neighbor for years.
