So I picked up this assortment from a retired welder. I bought it for the welding tips. I'm a little scared of that big red fuel gauge. Not feeling great about the O2 gauge, either. Would an experienced welder risk using either of those? Also, should I put a flashback protector on the fuel side of the torch?
I know, most everyone has gone to electric welding these days, but I have an oxy-acetylene outfit already so that kind of dictated my current choice. Currently doing some light welding/brazing. Nothing structural.
Oxweld. I did some research before buying, many on a welding site thought it was a great brand. I've never heard of it. Not like Victor or some of the other big brands. I'm into all this for $120 and I am probably the only person who would have paid that but if the tips work I guess I'm ok. Thanks for any advice. If I should put some of the pieces on the shop wall "museum" I'm ok with that.
