^This. I used to work at a factory and I kept about 30 forklifts running, all of them propane or diesel. One day we had an OSHA employee walk through the place, huffing and puffing so much that his name could have been Barney Fife. Anyway, he said that any forklift fork that had ever been touched by a torch would be subject to an instant $10,000 fine. This would include heating, narrowing, or having a hole put into any fork.
