The 9N tracturs came with a 4:00x19" front tire on a large diameter hub. In about 1946 a 16" rim became avaible to bolt on as a replacement for the 19" tire for better handling with a 6:00x16" tire and a rim is always measured where the bead of a tire sets. The 8N always had a small diameter hub and could have been gotten with both 19" or 16" rims but they could be interchanged to a 9N tractor with no other changes. The 16" rim to fit the large hub (n is a hard to find rim and I don't know if they are even made now.
