Have a 20 x 64 ear corn crib converted to a machine shed with steel on the sides and roof. According to the amount of bat manure produced, there is a fairly large bunch of bats that make there home right at the peek. They roust at the peak between 2 x 4's and the steel cap. We just keep stuff covered up.
I'm wondering if the roof and cap is replaced with new steel, will the bats return? We live in a mosquito paradise but the bats take care of that problem. And, I assume bats are a protected animal. Hate to lose them.
Any hints on replacing the roof and keeping the bats? By the way, I keep the flatbed in there that is used to haul two tractors to rides and shows. Thanks for any advice.
