I parked the tractors by the road over the weekend. As I was starting to put them away yesterday evening, the neighbors walked up with their youngest daughter and her family. Grant isn’t old enough to talk yet but he did like the tractors!! He sat on the 550 and smiled. He wasn’t to sure about me, but Mom was right there beside me so he put up with me. After he had sat on it a while, I asked him if he wanted a tractor ride. Mom thought that he did, so I got on and Mom handed him to me. I started the 550 and let it idle and he was okay with that, so I slipped it into 3rd and slowly let the clutch out. He liked that!!! Mom and Dad walked alongside as we crawled up the road, turned around and came back. Grandma thought it was time to go home, so we eased down the road to their house, about a city block and a half. Drove up the driveway, had to give it just a little throttle to get up the hill and stopped by Mom’s car. He was ready to get off. They thanked me and I told them that I enjoyed it more than Grant did and he could have a ride any time. We will see if he remembers me!
