Paul, As a matter of reference, I bought a good running 960 last year. Needed tlc, had original paint, tires were fair, paid 1600.00 in north central Wisconsin. Several around on craigslist for around 3000.00, been there for a while. Depending on how well you and the relatives get along somewhere in the 2 to 3K range would be fair. Delt with relatives before on things, may want to think if a good deal is worth it.....lol.
