When using a detergent oil after using a non-detergent oil for a while, make sure that their is not any crud in the engine that when the detergent oil cleans it off it does not get into your bearings and wear them out. Make sure to take off the pan, take of the valve cover, and flush out the contaminants with brake cleaner or carb cleaner. Then to relubricate the parts that got dried out by the cleaner, spray parts with wd-40 or jb- 80.
