Omega welcome to YT! Yes, it sounds like everything you tried so far was to turn the engine in the normal direction of rotation, I have a pretty good hunch when you try to turn it backwards it will. I wonder if by some odd chance a valve keeper decided to fail and you now have a stray valve on top of a piston. If it turns backwards taking the valve cover off would be my next step. Odd that Steve seems to think that if it turns an inch or so each direction with the clutch down ..which I would say is released.. it is the power train. In my thinking releasing the clutch disconnects the engine from the drivetrain. At least it would on a Farmall, but then I am not an Allis guy so I don’t know what lurks in the ...power director.. system if it is equipped with one that could cause this sort of thing unless he is thinking backwards.
