My 1953 Jubilee is having hydraulic issues, sometimes I can get it to work and other times it will not work. It has the vane type hyd pump and was wondering if I changed it to the newer type pump if I would need to change the hyd lines?
I think the problem is that the pump has a slight leak and needs to be primed each time that tractor is being used. I have changed the large O ring a couple of time but maybe leak is coming from the gaskets vice the O ring. I plan on removing the pump today and see if the gaskets need to be replaced.
Note, the only way that I know of priming the system is applying air pressure to the dip stick tube, any other suggestions.
