THE REASON BELIEVED FOR THE WIDESPREAD INFECTION, anyone know? because the local authorities mandated putting sick people in the quarantine together, all in the same establishment, and eventually too many sick people were all in the same place and too close together, and the ones that were recovering just got reinfected and couldn't leave and the sick stayed sick longer. Health care officials and historians alike all agree that that epidemic would have been over sooner and less epic and cost way less lives if people just went about their life in their own way and those that died would have had limited exposure and a better chance of healing instead of continuous exposure to infection.
