I dont even remember when I first smoked. Probably about 10. The nextdoor neighbor was about 5 years older than me. He would sneak his moms cigs and we would sit under an old fir tree and smoke when it was raining or we would go plinking or duck hunting and smoke. The one time we did get caught was in our hay fort in the barn. His ma didn't catch us smoking but she did find our stash. He was kinda a bad influence. When he and some of his friends joined the army I kinda straightened out a little but it only lasted a year or two.
Another neighbor kid and I thought it would be fun to burn a stump by their hay barn. We poured some old oil on it. There was tall dry grass all around it. Boy it sure went off ! Luckily his dad had a rain barrel and it was always full so we managed to put it out before damage was done. I'm pretty darn cautious now.

After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet). I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
