when I worked at the county we lost a hyd pump on a blade,, this was early 80's that pump was over 5K then,, CAT parts were always high but I would hate to think what they would rake for one today,, parts prices are insane now days, a 7K pump would not surprise me at all,, shop down the road repairs trucks, good friend has a fleet of trucks and has some work done there, they charge 5 to 8K to put on a new turbo,, and 35K to do a engine,, things are nuts, Case CE dealer here charges 550 for a engine oil change,, of course they throw in a 10 point check with that,, they look at the fan belt,, check hyd oil ect,, stuff I do every day on my equipment in a couple min,,,,
