supposed to have a about a week of nice weather so I mowed about 8 1/2 acres of hay today. 6ish acres were 1st cut of a field I just picked up a couple weeks ago and 2 1/2 ish were 2nd cut. The 2nd cut is from a 5 acre field I rented beginning of summer for $250 1st cut off of it yielded 13 4x5 round bales. I only mowed half today because it just wasn't worth the diesel fuel, its been almost exactly 30 days and it really didn't grow back well. Off the 2 ish acres thst got mowed today I'm hoping for 2 bales we'll see if I even get that super super short and thin. If I rent it again next year I need to talk to the guy and work out a deal were I don't pay rent or he pays for seed something tho it NEEDS reseeded. The 6 acres yielded well, and its pretty nice hay. And I didn't even pay rent on the field. The pic is mowing part of the 6 acres, its not tall but it sure is thick, better in some other parts then where I took the pic. -Garrett
