D100-06 tractors are as tough of tractors as any that were ever built. The goods are they are very good on fuel, built with a lot of meat, fully synchronized trans, Diff lock, and creeper gear. Hydraulics are not fast, but strong. If the starter and batteries are good they start well when cold. The bad is they have very poor brakes, if any. New parts are hard to get and even harder to pay for. Used and after market parts are out there if you look in the right places. The injection pump in a VA CR. I see about one a month here, same animal I-H used on most of its German Diesel engines. Great pump, but impossible to do anything but reseal, or minor repairs to. Al
