Fordy 40. I agree with you that packs of dogs are very dangerous and I had a pack of dogs run my cattle so I had to take care of the dogs because when you're dealing with dog packs they do kill for fun. And the dog pack is the result most times from people who dump their unwanted animals in the country. As I'm sure you know, dog packs are more dangerous than wolves and coyotes are opportunistic killers. Another problem is that they can spread rabies because most likely they have never had shots. However, I think that I have a great responsibility to my neighbors to keep my dogs contained so they don't go hunting for "fun" things to kill or run. I want my dogs on my property only and I don't want my neighbor's dogs on my property. Most of the problem is over-population because people don't spay and neuter animals and then dump unwanted animals in the country. There are many places that actually give their services to spay, neuter and give shots and it is free during certain times. I understand that vets are expensive, but the problem starts with people who let their animals breed indiscriminately which shows a disregard for the animal. I would not own a viscous dog because that is a sure way to get sued if the dog bites someone and if you want a dog, go to the shelter because there are too many good dogs that will be killed. Pick a dog that isn't viscous.. If you know anything about dogs that propensity to attack is not likely to trained out of a dog, I don't care what the Dog Whisper says on that subject!
