I have been living in Oregon since birth. After the logging industry was shut down pretty much every one who wasn't a abundant has been saying these giant forest fires would happen due to the lack of common sense forest practices. Heck, back before the white man came over here the natives used to set fire to the forests to keep the fuel load down.... now we "protect" mother nature and let the forests pile up with fuel and have mega fires. Even after the fires burn, we leave the dead trees standing for more fuel for the next fire. Sickens me. I just watched all my favorite places in the woods from my childhood burn to the ground all because of this hippy-dippy mentality.
