Do some simple trouble shooting. go out and run it till it dies. Check spark as soon as it dies and make sure you have a good blue/white spark that will jump a 1/4 inch gap or more #2 pull the carb drain plug and make sure you have a good steady flow that will fill a pint jar in less then 3 minutes and 2 is even better. And yes catch the gas to make sure it does not have water/dirt etc. in it.
